The Kentucky Sigma Chapter of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity at the University of Louisville is  hosting its third annual Charity Golf Scramble and Silent Auction.  Just established in 1999, our growing chapter has sought to give back to the city of Louisville in many ways.  Our organization has nationally contributed millions of dollars and hours of community service to several charities. As an organization of charitable endeavors, our local chapter is seeking to carry on the tradition of generosity by holding a charity event right here in the city of Louisville.

 Sigma Alpha Epsilon has grown in leaps and bounds since our inception in 1999.  We have been the top fraternity at UofL with hours contributed to community service for the past 3 years.  We have also been recognized nationally for the past 2 years as one of the 5 best chapters of SAE in the nation.  While we have achieved so much, we still remain without a house to conduct our chapter activities.  

 On Saturday, June 14th, 2008, we will be hosting our Charity Golf Scramble and Silent Auction to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network.  We are currently looking for people to become participants in this year’s event. The golf scramble will again take place at Glenmary Country Club and will be a shotgun start format.  Each participant will receive a complimentary gift and will also get to enjoy our dinner buffet after the event. We will also be holding small skill contests before the start of the tournament.  This year we are hoping for a big turn out so that we can give a sizeable donation to the charity and secure funding for a fraternity house.

.The Children's Miracle Network is the alliance of premier hospitals for children. Every year, Children's Miracle Network hospitals treat over 17 million children for diseases and injuries of all kinds. Children's hospitals provide state-of-the-art care, life-saving research and preventative education for children 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.  There are over 170 Children's Miracle Network hospitals dedicated to serving children in United States and Canada.  The network has raised more than $2.5 billion to date and much of it comes from small community fundraisers from organizations just like ours.  Your support of Children's Miracle Network helps ensure that children have the specialized care they need and deserve.

     Cost:  $300 per team of 4 golfers
     Format: 4-player scramble
